Current UK context Proportion of adults who live in a home that has a mobile phone but no landline phone in the UK : 14% (Q1 2010) ( Ofcom (2010) ) Number of 3G mobile subscriptions in the UK: 32% (end 2009) ( ibid ) 26% of mobile users now have a smartphone ( Communications market report 2010 , Ofcom) 3G network connections by network, Ofcom 2010
