65. The heart of a community is a doctor's surgery. People can bond over who their favourite doctor is/who they think isn't 'thorough enough'. It is the less scary and more personal version of a hospital, ushering in life and preventing or explaining death. And sitting in the waiting room is the perfect place to people-watch and feign anonymity when in fact you always recognise someone else there. It may not be the happiest place but it's one of the most important. A bad doctor's surgery reflects a bad community. There. I've said it.
