2. Advertisement
• We now live in a world filled with social
media this can help to advertise films. The
actors that are in the films can continuously
tweet what's happening keeping their fans
up to date. The film company and film will
also have a twitter account keeping things
up to date.
• Trailers are obvious to advertising films and
normally big companies like warner
brothers can get their trailers to appear on
YouTube home page.
• At the cinema trailers are shown before the
film, normally the film you are watching
will show trailers to a similar genre for
example if I went to the cinema to see a
love story chances are the trailers are going
to be aimed at that genre, that age group
or that gender.
• Nowadays you see buses, train stations
and taxi’s all with posters on advertising
up coming films.
• The film usually has its own website this
is filled with posters, possible
merchandise, teaser trailers, behind the
scenes footage etc.
3. Trailers
Most trailers for vampire movies have a horror element to them, there is eerie
music or upbeat action music depending on the type of vampire film it is. More
horror vampire movie trailers tend to have a lot of low key lighting, sometimes
jumpy moments but they do not give away the plot the point of a trailer is to
draws its audience in therefore keeping them guessing and wondering about
the storyline makes them want to watch the movie. More teenager action
vampire movies give the idea of love story involved somewhere and a battle
e.g. good vs. evil, vampire vs. human etc.
