1. Weekly journal 1 (From Sunday 27102013 – Wednesday 30102013)
In my first day on TP(teaching practice). I went to my school that I will be trained in. I
met the vice principal first because the principal was busy. I introduced myself to the
vice principal. She was very welcoming. I told her the reason why I came to the school.
Then I asked her to guide me to the English teacher’s room. I met my MST her name is
Ms. Alia. I introduced myself to her and give her information about my college program.
I was very delighted of her kindness. In this week there was a traditional event.
I
participated with them and I helped my MST and other teachers in organizing the event.
In the same day I helped my MST in cutting the student’s names because, she was very
exhausted. Before I left the school, I took a tour around the school. I got to know the
rooms like the library, teacher’s rooms and the toilet.

2. Weekly journal 2 (From Monday 4112013 – Wednesday 6112013)
In this week I was very excited because, it was the “flag day” for the United Arab
Emirates.
Everyone in the school was working to this day.
I helped the school
administration and other teachers in decorating the school and organizing the schedule
event. I joined my MST in her classes and I observed the students and wrote down
everything I noticed. Also, I helped her in correcting the exam for grade 2. I really
enjoyed checking and correcting the exams. But I was wondering how my MST can do
all these things every day. It’s really a tuff job to do but, at this time it’s fun. The most
interesting thing is dealing with children. Children are always active and controlling them
is really a hard thing to do.
I asked my MST how she can control the class. She
answered me that there is no one way to control the whole class, but at this age from 7
to 8 years old, they will obey your rules if you gave them candy or sweets.

3. Weekly journal 3 (From Sunday 10112013 – Wednesday 13112013)
In this week, I concentrated a lot in my booklet and I tried my best to finish the tasks I
asked my MST about the things that I face a difficulties in. She helped me and made
everything clear for me. In this week, I observed a low level student and took notes of
his behavior and how he acted in the classroom and in the break times. Moreover, there
was a session about the importance of safety in the school. It was introduced by “Ali
Altenaji” from AlFujuirah Police. I joined this session, it was very helpful. He showed us
the difference between the fire extinguishers and what each of them is used for. He
showed us also, the right way to hold the fire extinguishers. I really enjoyed this session.
I learnt new things that I did not know before.

4. Weekly journal 4 (From Sunday 17112013 – Wednesday 20112013)
This was my last week at the school, I was very sad and upset that I will leave the
school. I really enjoy my time in this school despite all the hard work that I did but, it was
really a nice experience for me. I learnt new ways and techniques that will help me in
my teaching journey. Moreover, in this week I observed a high level student and took
notes of his behavior and how he acted in the classroom and in the break times. I also
participate in the awareness event from “diabetes type 2 disease”. I helped my MST in
distributing a healthy food to the students in the school assembly like: fruits and
vegetables. At the end of the week, I went to my students and say goodbye for them.
They were crying and I cried with them. It was so emotional thing for them . I will miss
them a lot and I hope that I will meet them one day.
