Within our plan for student activities, we introduce the strategy we are teaching and want students to master through the scripted lesson plan format. If your assessment is not clearly developed UP-FRONT, you are less likely to develop clear objectives and activities that lead students to demonstrate mastery. Without UP-FRONT assessment, you are more likely to be distracted as a teacher or worse yet, assess students on skills you did not explicitly teach.
