3. GRAMMY U is a unique and fast-growing community of full-time college students, primarily between the ages of 17 and 25, who are pursuing a career in the recording industry. The Recording Academy created GRAMMY U to help prepare college students for their careers in the music industry through networking, educational programs and performance opportunities. GRAMMY U is designed to enhance students' current academic curriculum with access to recording industry professionals to give an "out of classroom" perspective on the recording industry.

5. GRAMMY U Chapters Members of The Recording Academy can also connect with other music professionals at events hosted by their Chapters. Chapter offices are located in many of the country's legendary music centers, and are governed by some of the most experienced and respected names in music today.

GRAMMY U Chapters Chapter offices are deeply connected with their local music and recording communities, providing professional development, networking opportunities and special events for members. Academy members are associated with the Chapter closest to their home city, but also have full access to the services and support of all 12 Chapters. The Recording Academy is always there, whether you're at home or on the road.
8. 1. Networking From Speed Mentoring to Masterclasses, your opportunities to establish contacts in the music industry are endless. The GRAMMY U program is filled with networking events and opportunities for its members that are sure to help jumpstart their careers in entertainment.
9. 2. Pre-professional Development The entertainment industry is very competitive, especially for those wishing to break in with an entry-level position. Our events like the Intern Boot Camp and Music Summit not only educate members on how they can successfully get their foot in the door, but give GU members exclusive access to recruiters from the industry’s leading companies.
10. 3. Events & Parties Who wouldn’t want to brush shoulders with established and emerging artists in music backstage at SoundChecks or intimately at Up Close & Personal panels? GU members even have the opportunity to learn from music legends at Masterclassesand Lecture series on everything from the state of music and entrepreneurship to production and engineering. Students can even participate in The Recording Academy’s most exciting event of the year, the GRAMMY Awards, by attending our GRAMMY Telecast Viewing party fully equipped with live performances, open bar, food and a red carpet entrance.
