1. For this small area above the masthead I am going to be writing the names of artists which would relate to the same
genre. By seeing these names, the audience would automatically engage and take interest in the magazine.
Masthead
The masthead/ title of the magazine would be placed here in the centre of the page and in an estimated font size of 85. I
have not yet decided the type of font I am going to be using, but as my magazine is going to be following the R&B and Hip
Hop genre I am going to try and follow the same codes and conventions. The usual mastheads of these types of
magazines would be simply bold and big and be placed behind the main cover image, making it look more professional.

This area of the magazine i
will include small clips of
what features inside the
magazine. The text will be

and the main cover story, to

and would give us an insight on what is inside
the magazine. I am going to ensure the same Barcode
vocabulary is used like other similar R&B
magazines.
