Poor marketing facilities and lack of infrastructure haunt many smallholder farmers in Tanzania, making agriculture unprofitable despite their hard work. Even when farmers organize themselves into producer groups, they often do not know where or how to sell their crops for a profit due to poor entrepreneurial skills and the absence of a supportive marketing system. Improving rural marketing infrastructure could help farmers access buyers and ensure the profitability of their labor.
