associated with being angled towards
topical issues e.g. romantic, political,
confessional etc.
An example of where some of these
themes have been expressed in music is
Adele’s album 21. In 21 Adele expresses
her heartbreak after the break up of a
relationship.
The album has won several awards and
has won Grammy Awards for Album of the
Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Record of the
Year, Song of the Year in 2012.
