2. Frag Radio
Frag radio are an internet radio station focused at appeasing the gaming
community. Frag radio use a server plugin to broadcast their radio
station, this plugin features in games such as CS:S and Minecraft. The Frag
Radio plugin also allows people to send direct messages to the DJ’s on
air, this allows for more listener interactivity.
Frag radio also visits various gaming events and broadcasts live from them.
They try to create videos of each event however as their main focus is radio
they often don’t have the time to dedicate to video recording.
3. Insomnia Gaming Festival
The Insomnia Gaming Festival
is a Tournament and LAN
Hybrid. This means that people
will bring their own computers to
game whilst also participating in
tournaments and events in the
other gaming hall.
The insomnia Festival has been
around since 1999 but has only
recently become the biggest
and the best.
4. What are we going to do?
As a team we will be covering the insomnia gaming festival on behalf of Frag
Radio. We will be using three cameras during our time there to ensure
maximum coverage. The event will span from the 28th of November to the 2nd
of December.
Kit needed:
2x JVC Camera Kits
2x Tripods
1x DSLR (Provided by Alex)
1x Mac Mini (Provided by Jake)
Accommodation and security:
We will be camping for the
duration of our stay and all of
the kit will be locked up in the
Frag Radio broadcast room
within the venue to keep it
safe.
5. What will be produced?
We will be filming and packaging the following items for Frag
Radio:
O
Daily Roundups – These will be small 5 minute pieces to round up the three main
event days, they will cover things such as tournaments and events.
O
Individual Interviews – These will be 2 minute long pieces for viewers to watch, we
hope to interview shop owners in the main event area along with some big names
from YouTube and the Tournaments.
O
Opening and Closing ceremony – These will consist of the slightly edited ceremonies
for viewers at home to watch (roughly 20 minutes each)
O
Final roundup video – This will be a 20 minute piece that uses footage from
interviews and events to create a general roundup video of the whole festival for
those that were unable to make it to the event.
