 It is a megacity.
 It has 652.405 inhabitants.
 Receives its name because of a
teibute to Noah Seattle.
 Largest city in the state of Washington

 Located between lake Washington and the bay

 One of the major ports in United States
 It is close to national and state parks

 The topography of the center was changed by
the construction of seawall and the artificial
Harbor Island
 Highest seattle´s point within city limits is at
High Point
 It´s terrain is hilly and green
 It´s biggest lakes are Lake Washington Bitter
Lake
 It has over 150 bridges
 It is surrounded by several forests and guarded
by a volcano called «Monte Raigner»

 Seattle was first inhabited by the tribe
Duwamish,which arrived trying to found a
new city.
 The founding os seattle is dated from the
arrival of Denny Party as well as Lutero
Collins and Henry Van Asselt
 Alki Point and Elliot Bay were the first two
locations.
 Charlie Terry sold Alki and moved to
Seattleand started to own land
 Lumbering was the main industry when
seattle was incorporated, nowadays is a
major hub ion technology
 The Northern Pacific Railway Cmpany
railway made the city accesible
 In 1880 the population grew becauese of a
connection with northern Pacific
 The great fire and the World War I and II
affected Seattle, causing big strikes and
political crisis.
 Seattle was knew as a hobted of political
radicalism
 Gold was found along the klondike river
in Yukón de Canada.
 The population become more and more
diversified
 The Depression of the decade hit Seattle
strongly
 It was founded in december the 2nd 1869
 During 1900 the city continued growing
 The boeing airplane 707 introduction
also caused a burst of optimism in the
city
In the 21s century the population has
maintained and suburban areas have grown
explosively

services centers ,as small townhalls, which have
their own festivities and summer fairs
 The inner city and the central bussiness is
where most of the block of flats , residential
buldings and offices are located

in the outer suburbs

neighborhoods plans developed by more
than 20000 people
 There are not much evidence of
gentrification in seattle.However old
bungalows,theatres and bowlings have been
demolished
 Twelve percent of Seattle´s lan was
originally dedicated to industrial use
 There are also new ways of houses called
micro-housing
 Several neighborhood zones are also found
all around the city
 Seattle also want people to live in
multifamily buildings
