Located between lake Washington and the bay
Pudget Sound
Seattle lies on seven hills like Rome
Located at 137 m from the sea level
One of the major ports in United States
It is close to national and state parks
Also located in the Pacific Ring of Fire
The topography of the center was changed by
the construction of seawall and the artificial
Harbor Island
Highest seattle´s point within city limits is at
High Point
It´s terrain is hilly and green
It´s biggest lakes are Lake Washington Bitter
Lake
It has over 150 bridges
It is surrounded by several forests and guarded
by a volcano called «Monte Raigner»

HISTORY OF SEATTLE
Seattle was first inhabited by the tribe
Duwamish,which arrived trying to found a
new city.
The founding os seattle is dated from the
arrival of Denny Party as well as Lutero
Collins and Henry Van Asselt
Alki Point and Elliot Bay were the first two
locations.
Charlie Terry sold Alki and moved to
Seattleand started to own land
Lumbering was the main industry when
seattle was incorporated, nowadays is a
major hub ion technology
The Northern Pacific Railway Cmpany
railway made the city accesible
In 1880 the population grew becauese of a
connection with northern Pacific
The great fire and the World War I and II
affected Seattle, causing big strikes and
political crisis.
Seattle was knew as a hobted of political
radicalism
Gold was found along the klondike river
in Yukón de Canada.
The population become more and more
diversified
The Depression of the decade hit Seattle
strongly
It was founded in december the 2nd 1869
During 1900 the city continued growing
The boeing airplane 707 introduction
also caused a burst of optimism in the
city
In the 21s century the population has
maintained and suburban areas have grown

their own festivities and summer fairs
