1. Water Pollution

2. Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans, groundwater).

3. Water pollution occurs when pollutants are discharged directly or indirectly into water bodies without adequate treatment to remove harmful compounds.

4. In our region there is a river called Isonzo. Its springs are in Slovenia. The Isonzo is the most abundant river in Friuli Venezia Giulia but its water is not clean and from time to time people have to go and clean its banks.
