Store 300 kernels of each brand at each
temperature for a total of 9 samples
Store for 16 days
Pop each sample in the whirly-pop for 90
seconds with 1 tablespoon of hot oil.

Is there a Difference?
 Brands – There isn’t a difference in the number
 of unpopped kernels based on the brand
 (p=0.62).

 Storage Temperature – There is a difference in
 the number of unpopped kernels based on the
 temperature the kernels are stored at (p=0.04).
 There are fewer unpopped kernels when they
 are stored at room temperature.
Conclusion
 The brand of popcorn you use doesn’t matter

 Where you store them does matter
