2. What is Type Contrast?
Type Contrast is the difference in two or more
aspects of fonts. Type contrasts include such
things as italicizing a type compared to bolding,
or regular. Alignment is another big type
contrast that many people like to use. Lastly,
using a font, size, or color that is different from
the rest of the words is an excellent example of
Type Contrast.

4. SIZE

What are
you doing
after school?
A contrast in Size refers to two
different objects, i.e. a large and
a small picture. A contrast in
size is a simple, yet effective
after
way to get peopleâs attention,
because it is the natural
response of the human eye to
school?
look at the larger object first, so
the more important object is
usually the larger image.
6. Contrast in Color
ï± Another widely used type of contrast is a
contrast in Color. If you havenât noticed
yet, humans tend to look toward the
brighter colors that catch their eyes. If
you had a yellow shirt and a black shirt
exactly the same sitting next to it, from
across a store, most likely, the yellow
would catch your eye. Thus, being a well-
known concept, it is used quite a bit.
8. Contrast in Value
ï± Value has to do with using differing
shades and tints or sizes that are similar;
however, catch your attention. Value also
has to do with texture. Two different
textures next to each other often catch the
eye and make people look closer
10. Obvious Contrast
ï± Obvious contrast covers anything from
color or black and white to size of two
different objects. It could be a medley of
both. It is what it sounds like. This is a
very miscellaneous group.
