• AAJ News was initially started on March 23, 2005 by the Business
Recorder Group.
• The Business Recorder Group is one of the most prominent media
conglomerates in Pakistan which, in the 40 years of its history, has attained
tremendous success and enjoys leadership position in every one of it's
ventures.
• AAJ News provides round the clock news coverage from around the world
in collaboration with their partner news sources in more than 100
countries.
8. R E C R U IT M E N T
• AAJ TV as far as the recruitment procedure is concerned, the
AAJ TV network advertise only when it is required, but it is
not done on frequent bases.
• The reason behind it is that the AAJ network has huge data
bank and references available (placement companies) on hand.
• The sources of the data bank are the CV dropped by the
individuals through e-mail, hard copies personally dropped.
9. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
• AAJ TV specifically there is no training department
existent in the AAJ TV network.
• The employees are given on the job training (OJT).
• Moreover the employees are also given in house
training by their respected relevant departments.

10. COMPENSATION PRACTICES
Benefits are concerned, they include:
•80% basic salary and 20% allowances.
•Fuel.
•Cell phone and credit limit.
•Company maintained car.
•Life insurance and health insurance.
11. • Performance bonuses per annum based on annual appraisal
and performance.
• Yearly bonuses to one basic pay each on Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul
Azha depending upon profitability.
12. APPRAISAL
• Appraisal for every employee is usually
done by Rating scale method. The traits
assessed on these scales include
employee attributes such as
cooperation, communications ability,
initiative, punctuality and technical
(work skills) competence, etc.
• 360 degree feedback is also taken.
13. EMPLOYEE RELATION
• AAJ TV there exists an open door policy.
• The employees are encouraged to freely express their opinions
are concerns.
• There don’t exits a traditional hierarchy, meaning open,
friendly, cooperative environment which encourages not only
progress of the organization as well as the employees.
