In small groups define the following:

Race – Refers to a person’s skin color, hair color,
and size and shape of one’s features
Skin color is determined by the amount of
melanin in a person’s skin, which is a result of
ancestry and their location to the sun.
Culture – What’s on the inside of a person

Occurs when they are unequal outcomes for

Doll Experiment
Children of color who had direct experience with
within the white community tended to prefer white
dolls rather than dolls with brown skin.
By age 7 children tend to demonstrate more
positive attitudes towards children of their own
race. White children tend to have negative
attitudes about children from other races.
