2. What is a storyboard?
• A storyboard is something which film-
makers use to plan out their film. They do
this for every scene and eventually they
will have created a timeline for their movie,
using the storyboards.
• Storyboards include the sound for the
scene, camera angles, movements and
lengths, illustration of the shot and
dialogue.
3. Why create a storyboard?
• Creating a storyboard is beneficial for film-
makers as it allows them to physically see
their vision for the film. Storyboards help
as they can allow film-makers to see if
there are any problems with the way they
want to orchestrate the scene, like if it
doesn’t run smoothly. It also helps with
organisation as everyone will know exactly
what they want to create. Also it can help
when editing the movie as it can be
referred back to.
4. Creating our storyboard…
• We decided to storyboard our first scene,
where Rosie walks into her room and
begins cleaning up.
• As a group we discussed what type of
shots we wanted and the order in which
we want them in. This then allowed all of
us to have our opinion on what would work
best for the film.
• This is our storyboard…
