Welcome to our special webinar previewing upcoming changes to advisordeck design options
In our webinars we usually show off our great staff who have fantastic industry experience. Derrick has founded and worked on numerous startups after leaving Earthlink and recently managed his own consulting firm in Hawaii. We stole Christine from Google down in Mountain View and she’s both leading our marketing efforts and supporting our work with Google Adwords pay-per-click campaigns. We also work closely with an offshore team and with industry leaders Lincoln Collins, Wade Dokken, and Matt Halloran.
Now let’s go back 6 months to when we launched. When we launched the alpha version of AdvisorDeck back in January, we offered three base themes. We worked with professional designers from the US and UK and were really happy with them as a start. But our goal all along was to listen to our customers, look at the data we were collecting on how effective and usable he designs are, and quickly make improvements that help our customers be more successful. Here’s the list of goals we came up with:
We analyzed our traffic data and listened to our users, and these are the goals we knew we wanted to accomplish with the next version of our front end design. You wanted more theme optionsImprovements in design – improvement is always possibleBetter ties with social media We wanted to achieve compatibility with all types of new devicesWe want to improve speed improvements by optimizing the pagesAnd lastly, we really wanted to leave our competitors in the dust. This is a lot to accomplish in 6 months, but we’ve done it. We’re calling the new version of AdvisorDeck Mahogany: It’s very tough, it’s gorgeous, and top of the line.
Introducing Mahogany. We’re extremely proud of this new version. Let’s talk a little about how it accomplishes the items on our checklist.
First with themes: You wanted us to provide more themes, and we’ve done that in spades.
In version 2.0 we had 3 – in 3.0 we have 14. They each have a unique feel with rich color palettes, print-quality typography, and intuitive navigation. We have also kept all of our design customization options and added a few more – including access to over 300 Google fonts.
I’d like to briefly demo a live site for you. But first let me talk a little about the technology behind version Mahogany.
Mahogany makes use of a new and very sophisticated technology layer created by Twitter. Twitter wanted to solve some of the same problems that we did, and when they did, they released it to the developer community to work on and improve. With the release of Mahogany, AdvisorDeck will be running on the same front end platform as twitter.com.

Now what does this mean
We think these advances speak for themselves when you compare the experience on a mobile phone to that of our competitors. Which one of these could you actually find a phone number?
