WHO WAS HE?
Arganthonios was the last king of
the Tartessians.
He came to dominate the entire south and southeast
of the Iberian Peninsula.
WHY WAS HE IMPORTANT?
He was a good ruler who helped his neighbors, the
Phoenicians build a wall for protection against
invaders.
King Arganthonios ruled Tartessia for 80 years and
lived to be 120 years old.
