2. A line-up comprised of some of Rock & Roll’s best-known front men, including Jack Bruce of Cream and members of Jefferson Airplane, Styx, Traffic, Deep Purple, Grand Funk Railroad, Blue Oyster Cult and more got together to stage one of the most memorable shows of 2008.
3. On September 6, Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary will again play host to one of the most anticipated concert events of 2009 -- the 2nd Annual Benefit Concert for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum. Only 7,000 people will be fortunate enough to score a ticket to witness some of Rock’s most legendary performers on-stage. Pre-show activities include a VIP sponsor and artists party (pending artist availability) the evening prior to the concert and sponsor hospitality prior to and during the show. In the true spirit of Rock and Roll, the Rock Hall is limiting the number of corporate partners invited to participate in the concert so as to avoid “over commercializing” the event.
4. 2009 Rock Hall Inductee Darryl McDaniels, best known as D.M.C. from the groundbreaking hip-hop group Run-D.M.C. Legendary female rocker Patty Smyth and her 1980s hit making band Scandal 94 East , the band widely credited with defining the “Minneapolis Sound,” and whose musical heritage intersects with that of Prince, Morris Day and Andre Cymone, among countless others Alternative rockers Blessid Union of Souls , whose hits include “Hey Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me) and “I Believe” . The pride of Long Island, NY -- Nine Days -- whose breakout hits “Absolutely (Story of A Girl) and “If I Am” vaulted the band to stardom earlier this decade Midwestern favorite the Freddy Jones Band , whose recently released CD “Time Well Wasted” has spawned numerous hits on college radio including the fast-rising singles “Home Thing” and “In a Daydream” Two Southern rock standard bearers that need no introduction -- the Atlanta Rhythm Section and the Georgia Satellites And finally, Yes drummer Alan White’s latest version of perennial Rock Hall favorite the White Sox All-Star Band , which last year brought the house down with its nearly two-hour set of Yes, Queen, the Hooters and Jimi Hendrix classics

7. Presenting Sponsor -- $25,000 (not available) Sponsorship Packages… The Town of Cary has again signed on as the presenting sponsor for the concert. Their elected officials have stepped forward to provide financial support as well as the infrastructure support necessary to convince the Rock Hall to return the show to Cary a second time.

11. Sponsorship Packages… The concert will conclude with a 10-15 minute fireworks display on Sunday, September 6th. Estimated cost to produce a fireworks display is $1,000 per minute. 12. Sponsorship Packages… VIP Party Sponsor $5,000 Includes 10 tickets to the VIP Party on September 5th Inclusion in official invitation and venue signage Includes upfront reserved seating for 4 people and 6 general admission tickets to the 2nd Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Benefit Concert the following day The exclusive VIP party will be held on Saturday, September 5th - location and details TBD. Estimated cost of food and beverages, including beer and wine, for 300 people is $5,000
