One of the worst ideas in the course "Technology Entrepreneurship Venture Lab 2012" which we are trying to lead it to a feasible and maybe best idea,
the idea is selling ice cubes for eskimos
1. ICE
Ice Cubes for Eskimos
~ The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly ~
2. The "bad and ugly" idea!
● Manufacturing and selling pure ice cubes to
the Eskimos, to provide them with colder and
healthier drinks!
● This product targets rich elites who pay
money for even when no value is added,
only to boast about the fact of doing
something different...
3. What was "bad" about it?
● No added value is provided via this product,
as making the ice purer doesn't significantly
reflect a healthier life
● Target customers are only rich elites, not
average working class people, which is
socially unjustified
● Very difficult to differentiate such ice from
normal ice, so it's not even that appealing for
its consumers!
4. Moving towards the "good"?
● We offer not just crystal clear ice cubes, but
pure colorful flavored ones
● Just choose your preferred drink from a wide
variety of natural flavors in your favorite
rainbow color, pour hot water on it or heat it,
and enjoy a tasty drink! There is no better
way to have a handy drink anywhere!
● Available in packages of different sizes,
flavors, and colors for personal as well as
market use
5. Partnerships?!
● Local pubs (provide ice cubes in their served
beverages, either hot or cold)
● Local supermarkets (sell ice having different
sizes, colors, and flavors)
● Soda manufacturers (provide ice cubes in
vending machines)
6. Marketing
● Ads in pubs and shops
● Street banners in highly populated
neighborhood
● Moving cars (like ice cream cars) will go
through streets
● Samples provided in hypermarkets
● Raffles found in ice packets that can be
exchanged with new packets
● Discounted prices for schools to give ice
cubes as gifts to kids for their good work
7. Monetization
● Cost of ice cubes packets
● Yearly/monthly contracts with local pubs and
shops
● Yearly contracts with subscribed schools
