5. There are so many wonderful resources and
experiences on FB posted and shared by
dedicated professionals from various corners of
the world! I really get inspired by them. I assume
this is one of those triggers in our professional
development! Look, analyse, internalize and follow
your success!

9. The aPLaNet project is a European Union
funded project for language educators,
especially those who are new or do not use online
Social Networks (SN) but wish to learn more and
build their own Personal Learning Network (PLN)
for professional development purposes.
10. aPLaNet answers three questions that
language educators ask:
What is a PLN?
What is the added value and meaning of a
PLN?
How can they develop a fully autonomous
PLN of their own?
The project Autonomous “Personal Learning Networks” for Language Teachers has been funded with support from the European
Commission. This document reflects the views only of the author, and the Commission cannot be held responsible for any use which

11. Why educators should build their own PLNs:
To develop their teaching skills and follow the developments in
EdTech.
To engage students in learning by using EdTech tools
To follow professional events and opportunities in the educational
community
To share their work (blog entries, projects, conferences attended,

To participate in reflective practice thanks to feedback a PLN can
provide
