[justification of IP course]



why do we need to prepare students with e-skills:

   o   digital networked society
   o   e-learning
   o   life long learning, social media, establishing personal learning networks,
       communication of ideas (as individuals and as part of an organisation)
   o   work collaboratively at a distance
   o   online tools
[goals of IP course]

Provide students with ICT skills for a digital society, namely:

   o   Identification of students competences in ICT;
   o   Present students with different available collaboration tools by exploring
       the web 2.0;
   o   Selection of specific tools to create students' personal
       learning environment (PLE);
   o   Acquire necessary knowledge to master the selected tools;
   o   Work collaboratively with the web 2.0 tools;
   o   Become proficient in digital collaboration
[methodology]

o   Lectures and workshops to present the potentialities of web 2.0 tools for
    knowledge sharing and collaborative work;

o   Identification of students' competences in ICT with a fishbowl strategy;

o   Speed mentoring to help students understand what competences and tools
    they need to share and work collaboratively in digital society;

o   Hands on workshops to explore, get to know and understand the available 2.0
    web collaboration tools;

o   Hands on workshops for students develop and create their PLE;

o   Group therapy (reflective approach) sessions to sum up each days' work;

o   Final session to wrap up the knowledge acquired throughout the IP course;

o   Scientific papers


o   blog (to help students and tutors to create, develop and maintain a
    community of practice around the IP course theme)


o   conference (with plenary sessions and poster sessions - students have
    the opportunity to present their work)


o   Define a set of web 2.0 collaborative tools to serve as a model to other
    students interested in collaborative work in digital society

[justification of IP course] why do we need to prepare students with e-skills: o digital networked society o e-learning o life long learning, social media, establishing personal learning networks, communication of ideas (as individuals and as part of an organisation) o work collaboratively at a distance o online tools

[goals of IP course] Provide students with ICT skills for a digital society, namely: o Identification of students competences in ICT; o Present students with different available collaboration tools by exploring the web 2.0; o Selection of specific tools to create students' personal learning environment (PLE); o Acquire necessary knowledge to master the selected tools; o Work collaboratively with the web 2.0 tools; o Become proficient in digital collaboration
  • 4. [methodology] o Lectures and workshops to present the potentialities of web 2.0 tools for knowledge sharing and collaborative work; o Identification of students' competences in ICT with a fishbowl strategy; o Speed mentoring to help students understand what competences and tools they need to share and work collaboratively in digital society; o Hands on workshops to explore, get to know and understand the available 2.0 web collaboration tools; o Hands on workshops for students develop and create their PLE; o Group therapy (reflective approach) sessions to sum up each days' work; o Final session to wrap up the knowledge acquired throughout the IP course;

[outcomes] o Scientific papers o blog (to help students and tutors to create, develop and maintain a community of practice around the IP course theme) o conference (with plenary sessions and poster sessions - students have the opportunity to present their work) o Define a set of web 2.0 collaborative tools to serve as a model to other students interested in collaborative work in digital society
