ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Coordinate educational and assessment product development and maintenance, (e.g. mini-Clinical Evaluation
Exercise and professionalism tools).
• Serve as the primary liaison with academic and educational societies, including working with communications
to plan and implement outreach activities at academic and educational society meetings.
• Perform and coordinate program evaluation of educational assessment programs and outreach activities.
• Prepare and coordinate materials for educational presentations and workshops
• Coordinates special tasks related to educational project development and collaboration with external partners
as appropriate.
• Serves as an organizational resource to support implementation of new assessment methods and training.
• Work with external collaborators on presentations, workshops and pre-courses for society and other
educational or scientific meetings.
• Provides data, information and summary reports to ABIM staff and Board of Directors on educational
activities.
• Participates in, and where appropriate, manages the evaluation of educational programs.
• Works closely with the Vice President of Academic Affairs to coordinate educational activities with societies
and other educational groups.
• Schedule and coordinate educational meetings as necessary.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of ABIM staff, Board members,
officials, physicians, contractors, and general public.
• Ability to project a positive image to the public, demonstrate sensitivity and diplomacy with respect to
relationships inside and outside of the organization.
• Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
• Able to independently manage projects.
• Thorough knowledge of graduate medical education activities within and outside of ABIM.
• Ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines.
• Must possess excellent communication skills in delegating and accepting tasks.
• Good problem-solving skills; ability to understand and interpret policies and procedures and carry out complex
instructions.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility; must be able to work independently, as well as a member or
leader of a team.
• Master level education preferred, with prior experience in education or working within a medical training
program.
• Strong presentation and computer skills are essential.
