The Kassena Nankana Municipal Assembly
was upgraded to its current status in
June, 2012 by LI 2106. Its mission is to
create quality living standards through
participatory harnessing and equitable
allocation of human and material
resources. Its vision is to enhance social
justice and environmental sustainability
for improved living standards.

Management
The strategies employed by the Assembly
in dealing with it environmental issues
such as poor environmental sanitation,
inadequate toilet facilities, inadequate
refuse equipments and poor drainage
systems and lack of sanitary disposal site
and public cemetery are as follow:
