Malcolm X was born Malcolm Little in 1925 in Omaha. He had 7 brothers and his father fought against white supremacist groups. Malcolm went to prison for 10 years for criminal activities. After prison, he converted to Islam and changed his surname to X. He advocated for black nationalism and equality. Malcolm was assassinated by three men in 1965 with 15 gunshot wounds. He became a posthumous leader and idol of the Black Panther Party.
