Do you feel the media has a big influence on the way young girls dress?
The majority of women and girls we asked said that yes especially now the media has a huge impact on
how girls portray themselves. They said with Miley Cyrus making headlines, it’s not really a surprise how
girls want to look and act these days. Many parents said that Miley Cyrus used to be a role model to
many young girls and with what she is doing now with her image and mannerisms, can be viewed by
many young girls via YouTube and in music videos on television during the day. As well as her there are
many other music artists such as Rihanna and Lady Gaga that have raunchy music videos that can also
be accessed and viewed easily by a younger audience.
