Over the recent years different large enterprises, many of them blue chip companies, have engaged ZMG to support them in a series of cost cutting projects. The main focus of these engagements has been the reduction of recurring costs for financial information and ICT services. In spite of the fact that nearly all organisations have allocated substantial resources and have introduced different mechanisms to control and reduce ICT cost, high cost saving potentials have been identified during all (27) engagements. The suggested improvements have led to substantial cost reductions (30% - 55% reduction of the addressed cost). SIMS is a dedicated service emerging from many cost reduction assignments, mainly in the area of financial information and ICT services. Initially the service has been developed for internal use only. It enables ZMG to provide efficiently and effectively professional services for cost and quality improvement of Financial Information and ICT services. The service relies on state of the art Business Intelligence Technology.
