Oke Yusuf Olawale in Nigeria completes Project Management
Research Internship
Project management student at Federal University of Technology Akure
completes research internship for PM World Library
12 July 2016 – Dallas, TX, USA and Abuja, Nigeria – PM World has announced that
Mr Oke Yusuf Olawale has completed his project management research internship
for the PM World Library (PMWL). Yusuf began his internship in February and
completed the program on 31 June 2016. See his intern profile and research results

Oke Yusuf Olawale (pictured) is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s
degree in Project Management Technology at the Federal
University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ondo State, Nigeria.
Yusuf is an active member of the International Project
Management Association Young Crew (IPMA YC Nigeria) and
also a registered member of the IPMA Nigeria known as Project
Managers Development Association of Nigeria (PMDAN).
During four years of his academics pursuit, Yusuf has held titles
such as Judge of the FUTA Students’ Union (FUTASU),
Education and Training Officer, and Presently the Project Director at IPMA YC FUTA,
Nigeria. He also participated in the 2015 Global e-Collaboration Competition
(GeCCO 2015).
The PMWL project management research program was launched in late 2015 to
offer project management students the opportunity to conduct research and identify
new resources for the library in exchange for recognition, visibility, five years of free
access to the library, and introductions to others around the world. To learn more

According to David Pells, PMWL managing director, “Yusuf was very active,
researching various project management education and technology topics, providing
new resources for the library at least once per week. He often submitted multiple
research results.”
Yusuf stated, “I am very interested in project management, so this research
internship was both interesting and useful. My professors liked the idea and I’ve
learned a lot about project management around the world, just by exploring the pm
world library. I appreciate this opportunity.”
Pells added, “We are gaining more readers and library members in Nigeria, partially
due to Mr. Olawale’s efforts. He identified project management programs at several

Nigerian universities, about which most people in the world knew nothing. We thank
him for his research and great contributions.”
