Planner/Buyer:
I am responsible for analyzing production requirements generated by MRP, determining
build quantities and issuing work orders to the production floor, expediting materials in
support of production plans, providing material status for projects, expediting parts with
purchasing department, providing recovery dates to customer service and master schedule
maintenance.
Other responsibilities include: to generate product line build plans in support of the
Master Production Schedule coordination with manufacturing, distribution, quality
control, and customer service, as well as develop and maintain a working knowledge of
products and processes to ensure optimum manufacturing scheduling efficiency and
effectiveness. Work with purchasing to expedite, reschedule or revise materials
shipments to avoid disruptions in production while preserving ideal stock levels.
2. Maintain and monitor accuracy of the Master Demand Schedule relative to demand.
Assist Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering with evaluation of Engineering Change
Orders for effective implementation, Inventory Management to ensure high performance
against all customer supply targets and sales needs.
Import/Export:
Solve problems associated with shipping process immediately in a daily basis according
to the importance. Time management decisions, coordinate logistic according to all the
factors involved in shipping process. Compliance and implement improvement projects,
included Markings, Country of Origin and Harmonized Parts Classification. Maintain and
request all new permits and renewals to the different US and Mexican Authorities.
Inventory Control and database Integrity. Supports Compliance of US / MX Government
Regulations. Maintain fixed assets inventory updated with proper documentation on file.
Support Import/Export as required, including Invoicing, tracking shipments and
contacting brokers, managing and coordinate distribution, transportation, and freight
forwarding.
