 Lessons Learned

                               Learning to think modularly (segregate transitional materials –
                                “glue” )
                               Next time: Considering interactive templates earlier in the
                                process (I teach this….what was I thinking?)
                               Strengthened my conviction that non-linear, team development
                                works and is so much more efficient vs. traditional development –
                                using specialists
                               You can get as interactive as you want. The LCMS is simply a
                                staging mechanism for whatever you envision, eliminating
                                redundancy.
                               I should have done more supervision of the audio narration
                                process to yield even better results
                               If I can do it, anyone can…and you will be able to be much better
                                than I did by being much more inventive and creative

 Lessons Learned – “Selfish”

                               My mind started spinning about what kinds of opportunities are
                                opened up by having this content in this format:
                                    Blended Learning version of the course, with these modules
                                     as the prerequisite (eLearning)
                                    Linking individual Learning objects to the “learning
                                     resources” section of my website
                                    Licensing, packaging, selling
                               More tinkering and experimentation – “I could continue to make
                                adjustments to this course ongoing.”
                               New content for the course!!!

  • 33. @xylemelearning #singlesource Lessons Learned  Learning to think modularly (segregate transitional materials – “glue” )  Next time: Considering interactive templates earlier in the process (I teach this….what was I thinking?)  Strengthened my conviction that non-linear, team development works and is so much more efficient vs. traditional development – using specialists  You can get as interactive as you want. The LCMS is simply a staging mechanism for whatever you envision, eliminating redundancy.  I should have done more supervision of the audio narration process to yield even better results  If I can do it, anyone can…and you will be able to be much better than I did by being much more inventive and creative
  • 34. @xylemelearning #singlesource Lessons Learned – “Selfish”  My mind started spinning about what kinds of opportunities are opened up by having this content in this format:  Blended Learning version of the course, with these modules as the prerequisite (eLearning)  Linking individual Learning objects to the “learning resources” section of my website  Licensing, packaging, selling  More tinkering and experimentation – “I could continue to make adjustments to this course ongoing.”  New content for the course!!!
