Comarch started as a university spin-off in 1993. The company was established to develop com m ercial software products based on R&D results achieved at the Cracow Technical University . Till this day Comarch maintains strong ties with its university heritage. Originally, Comarch was established by three staff members. Prof. Janusz Filipiak is the founder and President of Comarch SA. In 1999 Comarch established itself as a global player and joined the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Additional notes: Two of the original employees have remained with the company till today (2008).
1998 the company was located in the main university campus which gave it direct access to human capital and R&D results . In 1998 the company revenue reached 25 million USD with the workforce of 250 IT engineers

We are located in all major Polish cities with a network of 1000 partners. We deal with 53 000 clients in Poland and worldwide firms. Our global headquarters are in the wonderful city of Krakow. We employ over 1600 staff in the headquarters itself and nearly 3000 employees in total. Information for speaker- number 53 000 clients, includes all clients of CDN and Comarch in general, which from the beginning till nowadays returned the invoices to Comarch
Our headquarters provide excellent work conditions. There is a staff canteen, huge conference rooms and a recreational area with gym and swimming pool for the use of employees.
