Construction of the bulk and reticulation infrastructure supplying the Chibini Area. The project involved construction of

ground reinforced concrete service reservoir; Construction of construction of 200mm/16 uPVC x 3700m,
200mm/40 Klambon Steel pipeline x 800m gravity and rising main, 200mm/16 uPVC x 3500m, 160mm/16 uPVC x
9000m, 110mm/16 uPVC x 14500m, 75mm/16 HDPE x 6000m, 50mm/10 HDPE x 8000m gravity mains and
reticulation, 153 No. stand pipes. The water supply scheme was intended for the water scheme to serve a population of

 Provision of Water Services Network Extensions and House Connections in QwaQwa Rural Areas Phase 1 under Maluti-
A-Phofung Local Municipality in 2009, Project Value – R 29,187,676.84: Construction of the water reticulation
pipelines by replacing the aging AC pipes with 24761m of 90mm diameter , 3348m of 110mm diameter , 1456m
of160mm diameter uPVC pipes and yard taps in Tebang 1 & 2 villages; 12699m of 90mm diameter,1822m of 110mm
diameter , 659m of 160mm diameter, 20 m of 250mm diameter uPVC pipes and yard taps in Thaba Bosiu village and
14201m of 90mm diameter, 2000km of 110mm diameter, 2300m of 160mm diameter , 30m of 250mm diameter uPVC

 Thembalihle Extension 4 Sewer Network under Phumelela Local Municipality in 2009, Project Value – R

 Vrede Raw Sewage Pump Station under Phumelela Local Municipality in 2009, Project Value – R 2,836,141.87:
Construction of reinforced concrete pump sump (Sump capacity about 45 m3
), Installation and mounting of two
submersible pumps ( Flow 165 m3
/hour and 30m head), valves, steel pipe fittings and the associated electrical mcc
board, Construction of 250mm diameter uPVC Pumping main of 850m in length, including 40m of steel pipe on the
river crossing, Construction of 300mm diameter uPVC gravity main of 125m in length to the sump including concrete
grit channel and flow diversion box, Refurbishment of existing pump sump for emergency storage facility, testing and
commissioning. This was an upgrade of the existing pump station to cater for the increased flows from Vrede Town and
Thembalihle Township and the new Thembalihle Ext. 4.
 Managed to complete Design and Construction of Mushandike Water Supply Station as per the scheduled programme
of works in 2006.
 Managed to upgrade 25 Water Supply Stations from low clear water production capacities to higher capacities out of
the 97 stations within the Catchment in 2006.
 Managed to complete Design and Construction of Neshuro and Ngundu Water Supply Station as per the scheduled
programme of works in 2007.
 Managed to maintain the 60 km Mutirikwi canal (Capacity - 20 cumecs) supplying the Lowveld Sugar Plantations, the
16 km Tokwane canal (Capacity - 14 cumecs) to the Lowveld Sugar Plantations, the 36 km Manjirenji Canal (Capacity
- 12 cumecs) to Mkwasine Estates and the 20 km Chiredzi Right Bank Canal (Capacity - 4 cumecs) to Hippo Valley
Estates as per the scheduled programme of works in 2004 and 2005.
 Maintenance of 16 large dams and 12 medium dams within the Catchment.
 Completion of Makwandara Loop Gravel Road, Makwandara & Ndlovu Clinics and Makwandara Secondary School
Structures on time as per the programme of works in 2004.
 Completion of the Construction of the Ceremonial Hall at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST)

water supply and distribution plants and equipment to meet the best level

Organize and supervise duties for water supply technicians.
Authorizes new water connections:
Checks how committed the station is, check the required water demand,
check technical feasibility.
Manage Workshops, Checks outstanding jobs, monitor time spent,
expenditure, workmanship and overtime.
Manage water supply operations:
Monitor water consumption, water consumption changes and reasons and
rectifies supply/consumption problems.
Ensures chemicals, fuel and water quality are the right types and
amounts. Check and control workmanship.
Uprate/expand water supply systems.

  • 3.  Mahlolokweng Bulk Water Supply (Gravity Line) under Maluti-A-Phofung Local Municipality in 2009, Project Value – R 7, 5 million: Construction of 5km of 315mm diameter uPVC class 12 bulk gravity line from the Tshiame 6.5ML Reservoir to Mahlolokweng Village.  Mahlolokweng Water Reticulation Supply under Maluti-A-Phofung Local Municipality in 2009, Project Value – R 9,77 million: Construction of 40km of water reticulation ranging from 160mm to 75mm uPVC pipelines and 1300 house connections fed from the 315mm gravity line from the Tshiame 6.5ML Reservoir to Mahlolokweng Village.  Bluegumbosch Sewer Network under Maluti-A-Phofung Local Municipality in 2009, Project Value – R 14,1 million: Construction of 2 km of 210mm diameter outfall sewers, 5 km of 200mm diameter trunk mains sewers, 15 km of 160 mm diameter sewers, 2km of 110 diameter sewer connections, 215 sewer manholes and 1010 erf connection at Bluegumbosch.  Provision of Water Services Network Extensions and House Connections in QwaQwa Rural Areas Phase 1 under Maluti- A-Phofung Local Municipality in 2009, Project Value – R 29,187,676.84: Construction of the water reticulation pipelines by replacing the aging AC pipes with 24761m of 90mm diameter , 3348m of 110mm diameter , 1456m of160mm diameter uPVC pipes and yard taps in Tebang 1 & 2 villages; 12699m of 90mm diameter,1822m of 110mm diameter , 659m of 160mm diameter, 20 m of 250mm diameter uPVC pipes and yard taps in Thaba Bosiu village and 14201m of 90mm diameter, 2000km of 110mm diameter, 2300m of 160mm diameter , 30m of 250mm diameter uPVC pipe and yard taps in Tseseng (Moeding) village.  Thembalihle Extension 4 Sewer Network under Phumelela Local Municipality in 2009, Project Value – R 15,168,654.75: Construction of 2 km of 210mm diameter outfall sewers, 5 km of 200mm diameter trunk main sewers, 15 km of 160 mm diameter sewers, 2km of 110 diameter sewer connections, 215 sewer manholes and 1827 erf connection at Thembalihle.  Vrede Raw Sewage Pump Station under Phumelela Local Municipality in 2009, Project Value – R 2,836,141.87: Construction of reinforced concrete pump sump (Sump capacity about 45 m3 ), Installation and mounting of two submersible pumps ( Flow 165 m3 /hour and 30m head), valves, steel pipe fittings and the associated electrical mcc board, Construction of 250mm diameter uPVC Pumping main of 850m in length, including 40m of steel pipe on the river crossing, Construction of 300mm diameter uPVC gravity main of 125m in length to the sump including concrete grit channel and flow diversion box, Refurbishment of existing pump sump for emergency storage facility, testing and commissioning. This was an upgrade of the existing pump station to cater for the increased flows from Vrede Town and Thembalihle Township and the new Thembalihle Ext. 4.  Managed to complete Design and Construction of Mushandike Water Supply Station as per the scheduled programme of works in 2006.  Managed to upgrade 25 Water Supply Stations from low clear water production capacities to higher capacities out of the 97 stations within the Catchment in 2006.  Managed to complete Design and Construction of Neshuro and Ngundu Water Supply Station as per the scheduled programme of works in 2007.  Managed to maintain the 60 km Mutirikwi canal (Capacity - 20 cumecs) supplying the Lowveld Sugar Plantations, the 16 km Tokwane canal (Capacity - 14 cumecs) to the Lowveld Sugar Plantations, the 36 km Manjirenji Canal (Capacity - 12 cumecs) to Mkwasine Estates and the 20 km Chiredzi Right Bank Canal (Capacity - 4 cumecs) to Hippo Valley Estates as per the scheduled programme of works in 2004 and 2005.  Maintenance of 16 large dams and 12 medium dams within the Catchment.  Completion of Makwandara Loop Gravel Road, Makwandara & Ndlovu Clinics and Makwandara Secondary School Structures on time as per the programme of works in 2004.  Completion of the Construction of the Ceremonial Hall at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) through teamwork as Structural Designers and Project Engineers in 1999.  Completion of the construction of a state of the art new Prison Complex at Khami Remand Prisons in Bulawayo through teamwork as Structural Designers and Project Engineers in 1999.  Completion of the construction of Coca-Cola bottling plant warehouse in Bulawayo through teamwork as Structural Designers and Project Engineers in 1999.
