The IIFF team attended the Berlinale film festival where they had difficulty getting tickets due to long queues. Despite icy weather, they persevered to network at the film market with representatives from Media Luna, the Swedish Film Institute, and Films Boutique. They also attended a special Berlinale event hosted by the South African embassy honoring anti-apartheid icon Albie Sachs, where the South African ambassador sang for him. The team watched films and met filmmakers to invite to the 2015 IIFF.
