1. Bio.
Wes Aldana was born in the Philippines and when she was 15
years old, her family moved to Oakland California. Wes
graduated from Oakland Technical High School in June 2001
and four months later, on October, she joined the US Army.
During her service where she discovered her strong affection
for photography. At the beginning, Wes only used disposable
cameras until she was finally able to buy her first digital
camera. She explore this medium by documenting her year long
journey during multiple deployments in Kuwait and Iraq.
After her service, she determined to follow her passion in
photography and she enrolled in The Art Institute of
California in San Francisco pursuing a bachelor degree in
digital photography. Her work focuses on conceptual fine arts
like the human body forms; her commercial works includes
studio and location portraiture.
