Today’s Message
LETTING GOD CHOOSE
“Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan.” (Genesis 13:11)
W e may have secret longings too deep to utter to others—perhaps a desire for
marriage, or a work or ministry we‘d like to perform, or a special place to serve.
We must put each desire in God‘s hands and pray, ―Lord, You must choose for me. I will
not choose for myself.‖
Genesis 13:10-11 tells us that Lot made his own choice about a desire he had. He
―lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere . . . like
the garden of the Lord . . . . Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan.‖
The plain of Jordan, with its rich soil and copious water supply, looked best to Lot. But
the land was polluted with wickedness (v.13). Pastor Ray Stedman wrote that ―Lot,
presuming to run his own life, ‗chose for himself,‘ and, deceived by what he saw, stumbled
blindly into heartache and judgment. Abram, on the other hand, was content to let God
choose for him. . . . Abram saw it in its true light.‖ Lot chose for himself and lost
everything—his family, his fortune, his favor with man.

2. It is always the best course for us to let God choose and to follow His direction, knowing
as we do that all our heavenly Father‘s choices are prompted by infinite wisdom and love.
Long ago I made my life’s decision
To serve the Lord and have Him choose my way;
And when I’ve felt uncertain at a crossroad,
He’s never failed to lead me day by day.
Contentment comes when we want God’s will
more than our own way.
To begin our prayer time together, we ask you to repeat this prayer with us each day...
“O gracious and heavenly Father, in name of Jesus Christ I pray for Pastor Avinash
and Rajiv and every member of their families and the entire staff of Well Fortified
Intercessors Army and Living God Group and their families. Lord keeps them safe
from all the evil powers and no harm should come to them and every one who are
working in the ministry. Lord Jesus guides each step and shows the right path on
which they will take. Dear Father God you have called them to do your will. Protect
them and guide them in whatever they do. I pray shower your blessings on them so
that they will be able to fulfill the work of our Lord Jesus Christ. Father God give
them strength and power and health. My heavenly Father keeps them away from all
kinds of dangers and gives them shelter under your wings. In the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ, I command a hedge of protection to be around their home and property
today and I ask that warrior angels sent by the you true Father God would be placed
to stand guard at any holes that might be in that hedge. I place the full armors of God
on them, and I ask that the light of the Lord Jesus shine through them this day. In
the name of Jesus I ask-Amen”
Pray specifically today for people you know who need to know the saving and healing
power of Jesus Christ in their lives. Many people are suffering – spiritually, emotionally, and
physically – let us stand before our Mighty God today on their behalf!

Microwave Alternatives
There are many alternatives to microwave cooking that are just as easy and convenient to
use, depending on the dish being prepared. Options include:
Toaster ovens
Convection ovens
Slow cookers
Electric grills
Many food distributors are also creating one-pot meals and box dinners that include all the
necessary ingredients, making it easy to create delicious, wholesome meals quickly and
conveniently on the stovetop.
When Microwaves are Safe
While it may seem that there are many dangers of microwave foods, when used wisely
and sparingly microwaves are convenient appliances for every kitchen. Foods can be
quickly reheated in a microwave, and with the wide range of entrees, snacks, and desserts
available for microwaves, they can help expand menus with minimal effort. To further
minimize microwave dangers, however, families should be sure their microwave oven is a
modern, efficient design and they should use it as little as possible. Small tasks such as
thawing food can easily be accomplished without the use of a microwave, further reducing
the risks without losing the convenience of microwave preparation.
