3. INTRODUCTIO
N
 PT. Weldtech Indo Nusantara was established on July
2006 in Batam Island, Indonesia. PT. Weldtech is a
subsidiary of Hi- Tech NDT Inspection Service(S) Pte. Ltd
based on Singapore. A company with worldwide range of
services and experiences in handling onshore and
offshore NDT projects around the countries including
Singapore, Malaysia, Middle East and Indonesia. For
Indonesia the projects are managed by PT. Weldtech
Indo Nusantara.
 Since 2006 up to present, PT Weldtech has been
successfully managed many projects from respective
clients in Indonesia. We have over 50 work force with
standard NDT equipments and safety procedure.
 As a service oriented company, we are well aware of the
importance of Quality Assurance, hence our team of
qualified inspectors will be on hand to ensure that all our
clients are provided high quality and best service in all
jobs undertaken.
 All of Weldtech’s employee possess specific qualification
related to their respective roles and have extensive
experience in their fields to supervised and inspect
various projects involving Oil & Gas Industry, Power
Sector, Ship Building/Repair and other Engineering
Industries.

7. Magnetic Particle Testing
Magnetic particle inspection uses magnetic fields and small magnetic
particles, such as iron filings to detect flaws in components. The only
requirement from an inspectability standpoint is that the component
being inspected must be made of a ferromagnetic material such iron,
nickel, cobalt, or some of their alloys. Ferromagnetic materials are
materials that can be magnetized to a level that will allow the inspection
to be effective

8. Liquid Dye Penetrant Test
A liquid penetrant test is non-destructive type. It detects flaws that
are open to the surface e.g., cracks, seams, laps, lack of bond,
porosity, cold shuts, etc. It can be effectively used not only in the
inspection of ferrous metals but is especially useful for non-ferrous
metal products and on non-porous, non-metallic materials such as
ceramics, plastics and glass.
The principle of liquid penetrant test is that the liquids used enter
small openings such as cracks or porosities by capillary action. The
rate and extent of this action are dependent upon such properties as
surface tension, cohesion, adhesion and viscosity.

9. Ultrasonic Testing, or UT Thickness, is the procedure of
introducing a high frequency sound wave into the exterior side of a
pipe or specimen, and reflecting the sound wave from its interior
surface to produce a measurement of wall thickness. The two way
duration of travel, divided by the known sound velocity through that
particular metal, provides a thickness measurement equally accurate
to a micrometer reading

10. Radiographic Testing (RT), or industrial radiography, is a
nondestructive testing (NDT) method of inspecting materials for
hidden flaws by using the ability of short wavelength electromagnetic
radiation (high energy photons) to penetrate various materials.
This technique involves the use of penetrating gamma or X-radiation
to examine parts and products for imperfections. An X-ray machine
or radioactive isotope is used as a source of radiation. Radiation is
directed through a part and onto film or other media. The resulting
shadowgraph shows the internal soundness of the part. Possible
imperfections are indicated as density changes in the film in the same
manner as an X-ray shows broken bones.

11. Positive Material Identification, or PMI, is an integral
part of process safety management in many industries including the
petroleum refining and petrochemical. Whether the need is quality
control, sorting of scrap material, or even failure analysis, materials
testing to provide verification of metal alloy grade and composition is
crucial to the success of many businesses.
In response to a series of accidents resulting from material mix-ups,
many companies have instituted stringent Positive Material
Identification programmes. Industry organisations have also worked to
develop guidelines to assure that the nominal compositions of all alloy
components in a process system are consistent with design specifications
