This document analyzes tweets from 49 leading health system CIOs and CMIOs over a 12-month period to understand what they are discussing. Key findings include that 31% of tweets contain hashtags, with #HIT and #healthcare being most common. 56% of tweets contain links, with the New York Times being the most linked news site. Peer mentions were also analyzed, with Bill Rieger, Steve Huffman and Edward Marx being the most mentioned CIOs. The analysis provides insight into the conversations and information sharing of top healthcare technology executives on Twitter.
