Making the most of the opportunities that college offers starts with knowing, as much as
you can, about whom you are and what you want. Analyze your "college self" using
questions like the following to think through your personal profile.
What is your student status—traditional or returning, full- or part-time?
My student status is full time.
How long are you planning to be in your current college? Is it likely that you will
transfer?
I am planning to be in BC College all four years to get my Bachelors.
What goal, or goals, do you aim to achieve by going to college?
My goal that I have to aim by going to college is to retain information that will help me in
my future career.
What family and work obligations do you have?
Family is always an obligation, and work I have no obligation.
What is your culture, ethnicity, gender, age, and lifestyle?
My ethnicity is Half Coastal Rican and Haitian. I am a 22 year old female, and my life
style is having fun, yet getting an education at the same time.
What is your current living situation? I currently live in my home with my spouse.
What do you feel are your biggest challenges in college? My biggest challenge in
college will be to juggle being a soon to be mom.
2. What do you like to study, and why does it interest you? I like to study anything that’s
interesting in any subject except math.
