4500 Series
The EdgeMarc 4500 Series combines multiple voice and data features into a
single, easy to use converged networking router. It includes models that have
up to 4 T1 WAN interfaces or a single ethernet WAN, a 4 port managed VLAN
switch, optional 802.11 Wireless Access Point and optional integrated analog
phone and line ports. Designed for SOHO and small to medium enterprise

Power over Ethernet products
Power over Ethernet (PoE) integrates power and data onto one single cabling infrastructure, eliminating the need
to have AC power available at all locations. Power and Data is integrated onto the same cable, supporting category
5/5e up to 100 Meters. During power failures, PoE ensures continuous operation of remotely connected devices,
such as IP telephones, wireless LAN access points and IP security cameras, when used in conjunction with a
centralized uninterrupted power supply (UPS). PoE is already widely adopted in the market, saving up to 50% of
overall installation costs by eliminating the need to install separate electrical wiring and power outlets.

IEEE 802.3af is the global standard for remotely powering Ethernet devices over LAN infrastructure. The standard
defines the specifications of delivering power over standard Ethernet cables, and stipulates the way to design
Ethernet power sourcing equipment and
powered terminals. The standard involves
