2. According to Dr.Eric Berne the founder of Transactional Analysis, all human beings irrespective of their ages have three distinct ways or sets of feeling,thinking and behaving. These three different sets of behavior are called Ego states.
3. When a person feels, thinks and behaves similar to his father or mother or copies his biological or psychological parents in his actions then he is operating from his PARENT EGO state . PARENT EGO STATE IS THE COPIED BEHAVIOR.
4. When a person feels, thinks and behaves mostly motivated by his emotions, and past experiences similar to the way he behaved in his early childhood then he is operating from his CHILD EGO STATE. Emotional Behavior is the Child Ego State.
5. When a person feels,thinks and behaves to the here and now situations using his reasoning and logic taking into consideration of all the data ( both internal and external), variety of solutions and their consequences, and aligns them to his core values and dreams then he is operating from his ADULT EGO STATE Calm and the Logical behavior is the Adult Ego State
6. When You focus your energy on the other person then you are operating from your Parent Ego State. When You focus your energy on the issue then you are operating from your Adult Ego State. When You focus your energy on your self and project the self over other things then you are operating from Child Ego State.

THE PHILOSOPHY OF ADULT: TO USE THE RATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC AND ANALYTICAL PART OF THE SELF TO GATHER DATA, TO VIEW ANYTHING IN A MULTI DIMENSIONAL PERSPECTIVE TO DEFINE A PROBLEM AND TO CREATE REALISTIC SOLUTIONS TAKING INTO ACCOUNT ALL THE PEOPLE CONCERNED WITH AND ALSO ALL THE ISSUES INVOLVED IN IT AND HAVING IN MIND THE PRACTICALITY AND INTERESTS OF ALL.

12. NOT BEING IN TOUCH WITH THE INNER POWER FEELING WEAK, IMAGINING THE WORLD OR OTHERS HAVING MORE POWER OVER ONESELF -CONSTANTLY FIGHTING TO WIN OUTSIDE FORCES OR SURRENDERING TO IT - TRYING TO GET THE APPROVAL OF THE OUTSIDE FORCES IS THE MAJOR PURPOSE OR PHILOSOPHY OF ADAPTED CHILD.

The Positive Aspects of CP -Taking charge of the situations. -Being firm and steady. -Restraining oneself and others from doing harmful things. -Rule setting & value education -Maintaining good tradition and culture. -Advising,Teaching &controlling The Negative Aspects of CP -Restricting and enslaving. -Destroying the self worth. -Expecting everyone to know and obey the rules which are not explicitly shared. -Clinging on to the old un-updated values, practices and commands.

Positive Aspects of Nurturing Parent Negative Aspects of Nurturing Parent. -Healing, Giving Life -Accepting the person as he is. -Discovering one’s talents of which he himself is not aware of. -Encouraging, Consoling and Motivating. -Giving Permission to live fully. -Over Permissive and over protective. -Doing things for others which they themselves can do. -Making People dependent. -Activating others emotionally without channeling their energy. Unconsciously negating one’s needs and trying to get their needs fulfilled through emotional bondage

Rational and Logical Problem Solving Not showing emotions at all. Cold Blooded Very rational but not morally bothered about the consequences. Very good in analyzing not acting

Creative and Imaginative Loving and lovable Feeling abundant with inner resources. Free and open minded. Day dreaming and indulging Insensitive and unsympathetic. Irresponsible and Impulsive. Careless and wasteful Mischievous and cunning. Audacious and over adventurous Energetic and Enthusiastic. Joyful and fun loving.
17. Positive Aspects of Adapted Child. Negative Aspects of Adapted Child Respecting Rules and Regulations. Being courteous and friendly. Compromising and flexible. Adjustable and understanding. Commitment to harmonious relationships. Angry, Jealous, Frustrated Non co-operative, Aggressive, Stuck up, Blaming Complaining and whining Not living in the present Living in the past or future.
18. One who is capable of switching from one Ego State to another Ego State is considered as a Healthy Person. One who is stuck up with one Ego State and not able to switch from one Ego State to another one is considered as an Unhealthy Person
19. To become fully alive, responsible, productive and committed to LIFE we need therapy. The therapy in TA is very simple and effective.
20. The Therapy consists of Three Things. 1) Updating the Parent Ego State . 2) Discharging the blocked emotions linked to the past experiences in the Child Ego State. 3) Using freed available energy to Expand the Adult Awareness and to permit the Natural Child to act and succeed.
