1. Report on Hyderabad Study Tour
Our institute has recently organized our study tour as a part of our learning to Hyderabad. It was such a
wonderful experience. Our institute has organized our visit at three places i.e. Ramoji Film City, Prasad
Labs, Salar Jung Museum. Other visit like Laser Show at Lumbini Park and Chaar Minaar were also
organized. On 30th March we started our tour and on the very next day we visited our 1st spot Prasad
Labs. Everyone has watched movies but does anyone know from how many process does it pass
through. We got chance to watch how the movie rill has been made and how the negatives are been
preserved and protected. Various machines to clean up the negatives and how negatives are develop.
Most interesting was how the person edits the rill. We also have seen many telugu songs which are
composed by the Prasad labs. We have also seen dolby digital theatre and sound editing studio. In
Prasad labs many big banner films are produced like dhobi ghat, Karthik calling karthik, etc.
From there we left in the evening and headed towards our entertainment i.e. lumbini park where we
watched laser show. It was very nice. From there we headed towards our main destination i.e. Ramoji
Film City. It is about 45 Minutes run from Main city. We reached there at around 9:30 PM and stayed at
Hotel Sahara in Ramoji Film city and on the next day we started our visit. It's also known as world's
largest film city. It is situated about 25 km from Hyderabad. Its area is about 2000 acres. It was a dream
city built by Ramoji Rao in 1991. It has many extra ordinary gardens, filmy sets, rides thrills and many
more attractions.
Movie magic: we watch movies. But here we can experience the fun of movie making.
Right from shooting, post production and setting effects one can learn how difficult it is to make a
perfect movie.
Filmy duniya: Here we have to travel in a toy train. It gives an experience of travelling around the world.
Watching evergreen England, Rome, Baghdad, new york, etc. etc is very fantastic. Its memory will remain
for a very long time.
2. Ramoji tower: It has six minutes of thrilling experience. It is not advisable for children and heart
patients. We can feel the tremor of anticipation; feel the thrill of a free fall. It is filled with special
effects.
Action: Here we can see the magic of cinema, can learn about special effects, editing and dubbing with
the help of chromo screen. It's real action.
Fundustan: It can also call as kid's magic world. here we can play video games, shop in a toy shop,
flowers, can watch dancing fountain, train restaurant, wood ride, toy land, adventure land, dome amphi
theater with many entertaining programmes for children, and animal kingdom. We enjoyed very much
here.
Gardens: Beautiful gardens are landscaped here. It will give a special treat for eyes.
Back stage tour: By traveling in the bus one can watch M.P. building, Mughal Garden, Hawa mahal, Jug
Fountain, sun fountain, angel fountain princess street, wild west and many more shooting sets.
The guide will explain every place with very joyful mood. These were the places where we enjoyed a lot.
We have also visited the ETV Network after completing the tour of Ramoji film City. ETV Network setup
is situated in Ramoji Film City. In Etv Setup we watched live news broadcasting from programme control
room. According to me it was one of the best things to watch as a journalism student.
Our visit of RFC was completed and we headed to our stay and there we had a dinner. On the next day
we departed from RFC at around 9 in the morning and headed straight to chaar minaar and from there
we visited Salar Jung Museum. It is also the best place as we have a shortage of time we could not watch
the entire museum but I would like to watch if I get chance to visit Hyderabad.
From there we headed towards Secundrabad Railway station and from there us returns for Ahmedabad.
It was a wonderful experience to visit Hyderabad and I would like to visit it again.
