 12 high school teams participated in regular season (10 schools)
 185 student-athletes participated
 14 teams (11 schools) participated in the 2012 State Championships
 2 B-squads and 1 C-squad
 216 student-athletes participated
 Lone Peak repeated as Utah state champs with Sky View second

4. Schedule Layout 2013
 Regular Season Begins…March 1st …
 Teams will be required to participate in at least 4 regular season games to qualify for
Super Regional Tournament
 Games are played as part of USAU-sanctioned league play
 Games are scheduled by schools and between schools
 Teams are encourage to schedule games with schools in close proximity
 High School Tournaments
 Daweena (any team….preference to Super North Teams)
 Lone Peak Invite (any team….preference to Super South Teams)
 Super North and Super South Regional Tournament (Both tournaments on the same
weekend)
 State Championship (8 qualifying teams)

5. Other Important Information for 2013
 All coaches must be USAU-certified to coach a high school team
 All Youth-related organizers must have USAU background check
 “Huck your Heart Out” hat tournament to help offset the
coaches cost for the certification
 There will be a 1 time team fee that will cover all UUDA/USAU cost for the
season’s regular season and tournaments (does not include USAU
membership dues)
 There will be a power ranking system this year that will include all teams
that are a part of the regular and post seasons
 We are currently looking at a system where we can keep
track of all games that are happening in the state
