Marafiq’s IWPP in Jubail won the international Thomson Corporation’s prestigious PFI Award for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Power Deal of the Year 2007. The PFI awards are presented each year by Thomson’s financial publication, Project Finance International, or PFI. It is a bi-monthly publication reporting on global project finance deals. The PFI Awards in different categories are considered the ultimate recognition for achievement in project finance all around the world. The 2007 awards were presented at a formal ceremony in London in January 2008.
