In November 2007, established a grants center within the College of Arts &
Science (A&S), which is designed to be a one-stop shop to assist faculty
and staff in the preparation and submission of grant proposals.
Manage grant proposal preparation, completion and submission for one (1)
division and eighteen (18) departments within the College of Arts & Science.
Manage the daily business and fiscal activities of the grants center.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures in the grants
center.
Provide advice to PIs, staff and others regarding University, state & federal
rules and regulations and funding agency guidelines
Ensure departmental compliance with the College of A&S, campus and
University policies and procedures.
Partner with A&S faculty and staff to provide interpretation of proposal
preparation guidelines and other support activities including, but not limited
to, the appropriateness of expenditures, contracts/grant/extension
requirements, report preparation, and changes in polices and procedures.
Interview, hire, evaluate and manage the training of all business support.
Fiscal award management of grants and contracts for the Division of
Biological Sciences and Psychological Sciences.
Liaison with OSPA and funding agencies regarding proposal and award
expenditure compliance.
Process graduate student tuition waivers for the Division of Biological
Sciences.
Provide fiscal approval for travel, requisitions, purchasing cards, etc.
Process faculty JED payroll changes for cost-share.
Process payroll as needed for graduate and undergraduate students paid
from grants.
