2. M A U S I – magazine advert
The following slides will include a brief description of the different aspects of my magazine advert.
3. Most magazine ads the I research contained the artist
logo/signature font – I decided to include my logo within
the band name and merge in with the A. I did this as I felt
the when featured alone the logo looked slightly out of
place. I feel that merging the logo helps to give my ad a
more dynamic look. I decided that big bold black letters
displaying the band name would be able
to grab the readers attention and make it
clear to the audience that this advert was
for mausi
I wanted the background image to
stand out to the audience, I chose to
feature a yellow border as it was able
to emphasize the yellow splats of paint
that can be seen in the image.
4. Many adverts that I researched featured
the bands website and QR codes that can
be scanned by the reader via smart phone
which will redirect them to the artists
website, social media accounts or iTunes
page. I included these features as it allows
the audience to connect more with band
and help the ad become more three
dimensional rather than a static image. I
feel including these features help my ad to
be a more effective part of a promotional
package.
This information is necessary as it informs
the audience as to what the image is
advertising and when it is available –
without this basic information the image
would not be an effective advertisement.
Reviews are an effective way to persuade the reader into believing that
investing time/money into the product will be worth their while. Star
rating and positive feedback from established music institutions are a
good way to help ensure that the audience will have confidence in your
product and investigate further which can lead to more sales.
5. In conclusion I feel that my magazine advert is an
effective way to promote my chosen band and draw
the audience towards their music. I have used a
combination of features that aim to catch the
attention of the reader as well as encourage them to
take and interest into the band. As well as being
aesthetically pleasing I believe that as part of a
promotional package my magazine advert is effective
and come across as professional.
