PCL GOALS
 Build a new library facility which provides:
 a Center of Community for the Parkland area
which makes it a better place to live, grow, work
and play
 the best possible library services
enhanced by technology
 well-trained, friendly staff to meet patrons needs
 greater outreach to both new and existing
members
 greater opportunities for volunteering
 Fund the building through a combination of savings
and a referendum to provide a cost-effective
investment in our community that starts paying back
from day one.
> 7 year search for site
> Considered 30 sites in all
three townships
> Upper Macungie Township
offers 354 Grange Road
location for $1 per year for
100 years.
For convenience, Walbert
Avenue location stays open
with limited hours.
THE NEW PARKLAND LIBRARY
It is not about space- it is what you do with the
space
The New Library is no longer just a place for
books, but a place for people, technology, learning
and living
The New Parkland Library embraces technology
with computers, free Wi-Fi, Internet, online
books, music and databases
The New Parkland Library provides space and
resources we have never had before
And we do books too.
