I have 20 years of experience in the US and
Asian markets. Through my work & teaching
experiences I have motivated design teams
and managed a multitude of design projects
from inception to completion. I consider some
of my strengths to be managing people with
sensitivity, meeting deadlines and budgets,
and delivering strong visuals.
I lived in New York for 18 years establishing
a career in magazine publishing after
graduating from Parsons School of Design —
Communication Design.
Working with some of the greatest editors and
designers gave me invaluable experience.
Leaving New York I relocated to Asia.
Eight years in Hong Kong has given me
hands-on experience and knowledge in
diverse and complex Asian markets.
From my time in designing and teaching
in both New York and Hong Kong; I have
extensive experience managing editorial and
design staff, photographers, illustrators,
stylists, set builders, hair & make-up stylist
and models. I have enjoyed working with
people both creatives and non-creatives
to fulfil a final visual that supports its
intended aesthetic and financial goals.
I have managed budgets large and small, most
with tight deadlines. I am fortunate to have
worked with and been mentored by some of
the most talented people in the design.
I taught Communication Design at Parsons
School of Design (NY), Hong Kong University
and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, School
of Design. I specialized in Typography and
Art Direction; sharing my love for
well-thought-out design communicated
through strong visuals.
