2. Bus Route Changes
During the 2011-2012 school year, the Transportation Department will provide students
the opportunity to ride on school buses if they live more than one mile from their zoned
campus and if they request and qualify for transportation. (If you live within one mile of
the school, bus transportation will not be provided.) Bus stop information can be
accessed through the CISD website at www.conroeisd.net. Click on the “What Bus Do I
Ride?” link on the home page. You can also click on the Departments link, then scroll
down and click on the Transportation link and look for the “What Bus Do I Ride?” link.
The first day of school:
Some things to expect the first few days of school:
ď‚· Longer than usual lines of traffic
ď‚· Later Bus runs. The Jr. Highs are the last of three bus runs.
ď‚· Students will report to alpha home rooms the first few days of school (posters will be in the
hallway to direct students to the proper room)
ď‚· Paper work sent home to return the second day of school
ď‚· Schedule changes will be made the first week of school if needed
ď‚· We will have a normal lunch schedule and expect all lines to be open
ď‚· Teachers will be in the hallways to help with locker combinations, give directions and assist
any way they can.
Student Schedules
Our counselors will be available at orientation to take schedule change requests. There
will be a form for you to fill out and leave with them. They will start making changes
later in the week. We ask that you only drop of your requests at orientation and not plan
to have them change your child’s schedule on site. This will allow more time for
requests to be facilitated. We will address all questions/requests in the order they are
received and will take time with each one to make sure the appropriate placement is
made. Please remember that our counselors have 550 students each. Thank you for your
patience.
