ÉLÈVES INTERNATIONAUX, CURSUS 18 ET 24 mois /
FOREIGN STUDENTS, 18 AND 24 MONTH STUDY TRACKS
La formation que vous allez suivre à Télécom ParisTech vous permet d’acquérir les compétences
polyvalentes nécessaires à l’ingénieur du monde du numérique. Une fois terminée, vous obtien-
drez le diplôme d’ingénieur de Télécom ParisTech (équivalent à un master of Engineering).
At Telecom ParisTech you will gain the versatile skills required for an engineer of the digital world.
You will obtain the « diplôme d’ingénieur de Télécom ParisTech », which is a Master of Enginee-
ring degree from a leading French graduate school.
Elle consiste / It is made up of :
• Pour les cursus 18 mois (double-diplôme), en une période d’enseignements d’une durée
de 2 semestres, suivie d’un stage en entreprise de six mois / For 18-month study tracks, an
engineering track over two semesters, followed by an industrial internship for six months.
• Pour les cursus admis 24 mois (admis par voie universitaire), en une période d’enseigne-
ments d’une durée de 3 semestres, avec un stage en entreprise de six mois en fin de 1re
année / For 24-month study tracks, an engineering track over three semesters, with an
industrial internship for six months at the end of the first year.
• L’année scolaire est divisée en deux semestres, chacun d’eux étant constitué de deux
périodes d’environ huit semaines chacune. Les examens sont organisés à la fin de chaque
période / An academic year is divided into two semesters, each one divided into two periods
of eight weeks. Tests or exams are organized at the end of each period.

À votre arrivée à l’école, vous construisez votre programme de cours en fonction de votre projet
professionnel et de vos centres d’intérêt, en choisissant parmi un large choix d’Unités d’Ensei-
gnements (UE) qui vous sont proposées par les quatre départements d’enseignement et de
recherche de l’école.
When you arrive at school, you build up your learning track according to your professional project
and your interests, choosing from fundamental and speciality electives (UE) offered by the four
research departments.

Le cycle d’harmonisation / Common Core Curriculum
Le cycle d’harmonisation donne aux élèves des connaissances dans des domaines complémentaires à
ceux étudiés dans leur cursus antérieur ; ceci afin de donner à chacun un spectre élargi de connaissances
propre à tout diplômé de Télécom ParisTech. C’est le jury d’admission qui définit pour chaque élève, en
fonction de son cursus antérieur, le contenu du cycle d’harmonisation. Ce cycle se déroule de septembre à
novembre.
The Common Core Curriculum is made of 4 compulsory modules (Probability, Economics,
Networks,Telecommunication Systems) and modules pre-selected by the Admissions Jury for each student
according to previous studies and results. It runs from September to November.

20% du temps d’enseignement est réservé aux langues. Le choix des cours est déterminé en
fonction de votre niveau de français. / Training in foreign languages occupies 20% of learning

are French-speaking: you study English and another language (LV)
• Si vous n’êtes pas francophone : vous suivez des cours de Français Langue Étrangère

Le stage d’ingénieur / Engineering internship
Le stage d’ingénieur s’effectue après la première année d’étude. Il se déroule dans une entre-
prise, obligatoirement en France. Sa durée est de 24 semaines.
Vous êtes encadré dans l’entreprise d’accueil par un maître de stage et à Télécom ParisTech par
un enseignant-chercheur. Vous devez rédiger un rapport de stage et le soutenir devant un jury au
mois de janvier. Une évaluation générale écrite du stage est demandée au maître de stage qui est
invité à participer à la soutenance.
At the end of the first year you are required to do an engineering internship. This industrial
internship takes place in France and lasts 24 weeks.
Your activities are coordinated by a supervisor in the company and followed by a faculty member
at the school. In January you are required to write a report and make an oral presentation in front
of a jury. Your supervisor in the company writes a general assessment and is present at your oral
presentation.

Il a pour vocation d’animer la vie étudiante de Télécom ParisTech et coordonne les différents

7- La butte aux Cailles / The “Butte aux Cailles”
Ce village sans église ne doit pas son nom aux volatiles mais à un M. Caille qui y planta des
vignes vers 1540. Située à proximité de la place d’Italie, aujourd’hui ce quartier contraste avec les
tours de béton voisines. Ses nombreux cafés et restaurants la rendent particulièrement appréciée
des Parisiens. / This churchless village owes its name not to birds but to a certain Monsieur Caille,
who planted vines here around 1540. Near the Place d’Italie, the atmosphere in this neighborhood
contrasts with the towering apartment buildings nearby. Parisians are quite fond of its many trendy
cafés and restaurants.
Ainsi vous trouverez autour de l’école tout ce dont vous avez besoin : supermarchés, pharmacie,
tabac, poste, cinéma, bibliothèque, médecins… De même ce quartier est très bien desservi par le
métro ( ligne 5, 6, 7…) et par les bus. / Near the school you have everything you need: supermar-
kets, pharmacies, tobacco shops, a post office, cinemas, libraries, doctors…The neighborhood is
also on 3 metro lines ( #5, 6, 7…) and several bus routes ( #62, 21, 67, 57 and 83 …).
